Carbon footprint
At ARSAM, we measure our carbon footprint as part of our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our activities. Calculating our emissions allows us to track their evolution, identify the main sources of emissions and guide our improvement actions.
For the calculation of emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 2, we use the methodology and emission factors provided by the Carbon Footprint Calculator for Organisations of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO).
This monitoring enables us to assess our progress over time and advance in the adoption of measures aimed at improving efficiency and progressively reducing our emissions.
Energy
We work to improve the energy efficiency of our facilities and reduce the impact associated with energy consumption.
We regularly monitor our consumption to track its evolution, identify opportunities for improvement and guide our decisions towards a more efficient use of resources. This commitment is complemented by the generation of renewable energy through our photovoltaic installations, helping to reduce our dependence on external energy sources.
Measurement and monitoring enable us to make steady progress towards more efficient and responsible energy management.
Waste management
We work to reduce the impact associated with the waste generated by our activities, promoting its proper separation, management and recovery whenever possible.
We apply responsible management criteria across our facilities, facilitating the separation of different types of waste and their transfer to authorised waste management providers, while maintaining the necessary documentation to ensure proper traceability.
At the same time, we aim to reduce waste generation through more efficient use of materials and the progressive introduction of alternatives that enable us to reuse, recover and reduce resource consumption.
Circular Economy
At ARSAM, we promote a more responsible consumption model aimed at extending product life, reducing waste generation and encouraging material recovery.
Through our repair services for electric and pneumatic tools, as well as our cutting tool regrinding services, we help extend the service life of products that can still be used, avoiding their premature replacement.
We also promote the recovery and recycling of materials through initiatives such as carbide collection, facilitating their reintegration into new production cycles.
In this way, we integrate the principles of the circular economy into our own activities and into the services we offer our customers.
Movilidad sostenible | Programa MOVES III
We continue to make progress in reducing the environmental impact associated with our mobility. As part of this commitment, we have introduced vehículos 100 % eléctricos a nuestra flota and we have two electric vehicle charging points at our facilities, thereby facilitating more efficient corporate mobility with lower direct emissions.
The charging infrastructure was installed within the framework of the MOVES III Programme, contributing to our carbon footprint reduction strategy and to the transition towards more sustainable mobility.
This initiative has received support from the MOVES III Programme, financiado por la European Union – NextGenerationEU, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
